TECH-ON! Kraków & Małopolska Region

Innovation is shaped by strong local communities which support one another and boldly promote change, reaching beyond the familiar. TECH-ON! is the latest event on the map of tech conferences and festivals, and it provides an opportunity to discover our city and region as the perfect location for investment: science stands shoulder to shoulder with business, culture intertwines with technology and creativity is truly inspirational.

What TECH-ON! is:

💿 a new space for Kraków’s startup ecosystem;

💿 an event promoting the City of Kraków and Małopolska as having great potential for national and international investment;

💿 an opportunity to showcase the technological and innovation potential of the city and the region;

💿 a synergy of startups, tech companies and leaders, venture capital investors, the creative sector and academic circles;

💿 a meeting space bringing together theorists and practitioners, and a place where technology is examined not just in economic or productive terms, but also through its social and cultural aspects;

💿 an international meeting aiming to promote the initiatives, potential and creativity of the local ecosystem.

TECH-ON! is more than just a conference – it’s a meeting bringing together different worldviews and attitudes towards technology, innovation and design.

This year’s event features three complementary thematic streams:

AI STREAM: an introduction to practical and academic approaches to designing and introducing AI-based tools into everyday use;

SPACE & SECURITY STREAM: the space industry, currently developing dynamically, is closely involved with security, including technological aspects. The stream will attempt to analyse ways of developing effective solutions in these related strategic sectors, while taking advantage their huge potential;

FUTURE & URBAN INNOVATION STREAM: what impact does technology and its development have on urban ecosystems? How should communities and artistic and cultural circles take advantage of and consume technological innovations? This stream will feature answers to these questions; however, its focus will be testing the intuitive assumption that the best way of forecasting the future is by planning it ourselves.

The event is organised by the City of Kraków and the Małopolska Region.
